During one of our games, something happened that really stuck with me. We got a penalty kick, but instead of taking it himself, he gave the ball to a teammate who had never scored a goal before. He knew the kid’s whole family was in the stands, and he just wanted to give him that moment. Seeing that compassion made me so proud. It was a great reminder of what sports are really about—the simple, selfless things that bring so much joy.
