What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Judah simply loves competing. He is a physical boy who loves to play rough and make contact. He seeks out pickup games or asks me, his mom, or his dad or even grandma to play against him if no other children are available. He loves learning different skills and embraces playing against older kids anytime that he can. His favorite sport is soccer, followed by football, then basketball. Every single day he wants to practice as much as we will facilitate. Sports is his true passion.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Judah is very young and I’m not sure fully understands role models. He watches videos of his sports idols often. He is most inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo. He watches not only highlight videos of Cristiano playing soccer but also often watches videos about his family and him as a father and husband. Judah loves that he has supported Cristiano, Jr. in also becoming a great soccer player. While he thinks Ronaldo is the GOAT, he also loves that he is a family man.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Due to COVID restrictions when he was young, Judah was not able to play organized sports until he was almost 5. We have watched him start off as more reserved as he tried to understand the rules and skills related to different sports, to becoming confident and often dominant on the field/court. From looking unsure of himself, to exuding overwhelming joy every minute of every practice or game. I’m also most proud of his work ethic. He wants to practice all the time and always gives 100%.
