Receive Text UpdatesWhat she loves most about playing sports is the action, friendships, and competition. She loves competing, pushing herself to improve, and taking on new challenges. Sports give her the chance to test her abilities, work hard toward her goals, and have fun alongside her friends and teammates.
The people who inspire me most are my mom, dad, Coach Antoine, and my cousin Aiden. My mom always supports me in everything I do and encourages me to believe in myself. My dad coaches me in soccer and spends time teaching me and helping me improve on and off the field. Coach Antoine has helped make me the basketball player I am today. My cousin Aiden inspires me because of how hard he plays, his hustle, and how he never gives up.
One of my proudest moments was when she signed up for track and was told she was “quick, not fast” and might not do well. I told her, “Never let anyone tell you what you can’t do. Only you decide that.” She trained almost every day and proved it to herself, taking 1st in the 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m & 800m, plus 2nd in the boys 4x4 relay. I was so proud she didn’t let those comments stop her and kept pushing!
