Learn MoreWhat I love most is watching him grow not only as an athlete, but as a young man. I love seeing his confidence, determination, and passion every time he steps on the field. Watching him work hard, lead his teammates, overcome challenges, and always give his best makes me incredibly proud. As his mom, there is nothing better than seeing him love the game, believe in himself, and become stronger with every season.
His stepdad inspires him both on and off the field. He has been his coach, mentor, and biggest supporter, teaching him the value of hard work, discipline, leadership, and never giving up. Their bond goes far beyond football, and he looks up to him as an example of the man and athlete he wants to become.
One of my proudest moments was watching him take on wrestling to become a better football player. He had to compete two age classes above his own, which challenged him mentally and physically. Even through the toughest moments, he never quit, made it to sectionals and regionals finishing the season strong. He has already decided he is wrestling again next year. Watching him choose to keep going when things were hard showed me just how much perseverance and determination he has.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
