I’ve pushed myself every day to be the best athlete, teammate, and student I can be. I believe my hard work speaks for itself.

What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreWhat I love most about playing my sports is the feeling I get when I’m competing. I love the adrenaline, the intensity, the challenge, and being able to give everything I have out there. I love those moments where I’m completely locked in and nothing else matters. There’s something about competing that I can’t get anywhere else, and that’s why I love what I do so much.
My mom inspires me in so many ways. She is one of the strongest people I know, and watching everything she does for our family makes me want to be just like her. She has always been there for me, supported my dreams, and believed in me even when I doubted myself. She pushes me to be better, but she also reminds me that I don’t have to be perfect. A lot of who I am today is because of her, and I hope one day I can make her as proud of me as I am of her.
One of the moments that makes me most proud isn’t a medal or a win. It’s when little girls come up to me before their matches and ask me to pray with them. Knowing that they feel comfortable coming to me and trust me enough to ask me to pray for them means more to me than I can explain. It reminds me that what I do can impact people beyond the mat. Being someone they look up to and being able to give them confidence and remind them that God is with them is something I’m incredibly proud of.
