What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreI love the process of becoming better every day. I enjoy making a training plan, setting a goal, and checking it off one day at a time. I believe race day does not define me—my preparation does. On race day, I cannot change who I am, but through training, I can change what I am capable of achieving. That is what makes running exciting to me.
God inspires me most. He is the source of my confidence, and I am grateful for the strength and mental toughness He has given me. Through prayer, I have experienced answers that remind me I am never alone. My parents inspire me through their consistency and unconditional belief in me. Knowing they believe in me completely gives me the freedom to focus, work hard, and keep going when things get difficult.
My first national cross country championship is one of my proudest moments. I was ranked 37th by entries, and an All-American finish seemed unlikely. But I trusted my training, stayed focused, and never gave up. I finished 6th and became an All-American, while my team won the national championship. This year, winning the 4x800M National Championship at the USATF Junior Olympics was equally special because I got to share that unforgettable moment with my relay teammates.
