Learn MoreJy’Ren loves the competition and the challenge of football. He takes pride in playing cornerback, where every play requires focus, confidence, and discipline. He loves being part of a team, competing alongside his brothers, and pushing himself to become better every day. Football has taught him that hard work, accountability, and perseverance matter both on and off the field.
Jy’Ren is inspired by his family, coaches, and teammates who continue to believe in him and push him to reach his full potential. He also looks up to athletes who have had to work for every opportunity they received. Seeing others overcome obstacles motivates him to stay disciplined, remain humble, and keep working toward his dream of playing football at the next level.
As his mother, I’m proudest of watching Jy’Ren continue to show up and work even when things haven’t been easy. Seeing him enter his senior year still hungry, focused, and determined to prove himself means more to me than any single play or game. Watching him grow from a young boy who loved football into a disciplined young man and senior athlete at Chalmette High School is a moment of pride I’ll carry forever.
