What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Wrestling is more than a sport to Kaden. As a young boy without a consistent male presence, it has surrounded him with coaches and teammates from different cultures and backgrounds who provide guidance, accountability, and support. He values the friendships he has made and loves that wrestling challenges his strength, discipline, and mental toughness. It pushes him physically and emotionally while helping him grow into a stronger, more confident young man

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Kaden says his brother Kaelon inspires him both on and off the mat. Kaelon wrestled from grade school through college, earning a wrestling scholarship along the way. His example has shown Kaden that dedication, discipline, and hard work can open doors. More importantly, Kaelon has taught him that the lessons learned through wrestling, perseverance, accountability, and resilience, can be carried into every part of life.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of my proudest moments was watching Kaden qualify for State and finish in the Top 8 after facing three mental health hospitalizations battling depression and anxiety. He could have given up, but he chose to keep fighting. He poured his pain into wrestling, worked harder, and proved that his strength goes far beyond the mat. Watching him stand among the best in the state showed me just how resilient and determined he truly is.
