What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

One of Kai’s favorite things about playing sports is being active. He likes running, jumping, moving around, and challenging himself. Sports give him a chance to use his energy in a positive way. He also likes learning new skills and getting better at things that were hard at first. When he practices something over and over and finally gets it right, he feels proud of himself.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Kai is inspired by his parents, coaches, and favorite athletes. His parents encourage him to work hard, be respectful, and never give up. His coaches teach him new skills and remind him to be a good teammate. Kai also looks up to athletes who show determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship. They inspire him to become a better player and a better person, both on and off the field.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moment I’m most proud of in Kai’s athletic journey is when he recently earned the quarterback position on his youth tackle football team. This is his first year playing tackle football, so seeing him step up into such an important role makes me incredibly proud. Watching all his hard work, dedication, and practice pay off has been amazing. Most of all, I’m proud of Kai for believing in himself, embracing the challenge, and never giving up.
