Kala’i is inspired by his Hawaiian culture, family, & connection to the land & sea. Being a well-rounded, waterman, athlete, and culturally rooted young man. Kala’i dances hula, plays competitive basketball, & surfing. Kala’i’s father Inspires him to be the best he can be for his community & peers in school. Kalai is a natural leader.
The proudest moment I have for Kala’i was being the youngest competitor in history ever, invited to the International Pipeline Pro Comp. All titles went to other countries, except my son’s division, was kept in Hawaii. Pipeline is the Olympics of Surfing. Kala’i was a top finalist.
