Learn MoreShe loves the friendships and the bonds that she forms with, not only her teammates, but her coaches and her opponents. She loves the competition and the challenges that come with the sport. She thrives on under pressure and is constantly pushing herself to be the best version of herself both on and off the ice.
She loves the PWHL as a whole, as it has given her the hope of someday playing professional hockey. She loves watching Gabbie Hughes and KK Harvey compete and tries to emulate certain competitive attributes that they bring to the ice. Kalea is always kind and tends to like players who show the same kind of sportsmanship.
Kalea has always been a strong player and has played at the highest level. In her U15 year, after a very negative experience, she decided to leave the association she had been with her entire career. She left behind familiarity and friends in search of a more positive learning environment, knowing full well that the new team might not be as strong. She thrived and developed under a coach who believed in her and provided her with leadership responsibility. She chose passion over victories.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
