Join the CompetitionSports are a huge part of Kamden’s life. He loves wrestling, football, basketball, staying in shape, and making new friends. He also played baseball and is a big Steelers fan. Beyond sports, he is an excellent student who often makes honor roll, never misses school, and works out before and after school. Most importantly, Kamden is a Christian young man who loves God.
Kamden’s mother is his biggest fan and greatest supporter. His family and friends inspire him, especially his three-year-old brother, who looks up to him. Kamden now coaches his little brother in wrestling, teaching him and encouraging him. He is becoming not only a great athlete, but also a wonderful role model.
Last year, in Kamden’s eighth year of wrestling and third trip to States, the moment that made me proudest was the match that sent him there. He was the underdog, and it came down to that match. You could see the struggle in every muscle, but he fought through and won. At States, he lost to the eventual 1st- and 2nd-place finishers. Still, he chose to wrestle heavier and face the best. As he says, “Every loss brings me something new.”
