She can be competitive and always wants to do her best, but what she loves most is encouraging others and celebrating her teammates. She enjoys cheering them on, helping them stay positive, and seeing everyone work together. For Kara, it’s not just about winning—it’s about having fun growing as an athlete, making memories, and sharing her love of the game with the people around her.
Kara would say her daddy. Her dad is her biggest inspiration and the person she calls her hero. He loves her unconditionally, plays with her, teaches her new things, and is always there to encourage her. Whether he is cheering her on from the sidelines or spending time with her at home, he makes her feel loved, supported, and confident. She looks up to him because he shows her what it means to work hard, be kind, and never give up.
The proudest moment I had as a parent was when she accidently knocked a player on the other team down. Kara instead of chasing the ball and ignoring the other person she went asked if they were okay and helped them up.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
