What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Cheer has empowered Karter in ways that go far beyond athletics. Early on, she recognized that she had areas where she needed to improve. Instead of giving up, she chose to persevere with grit. She became intentional about how she learned, how she practiced, and how she focused, pushing herself to become more proficient in her sport. She embraces every opportunity to strengthen her athletic ability while using her natural strengths—her length, strength, and athleticism—to continue growing.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Karter’s greatest inspiration is her mom. She admires her mother’s determination, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to her goals. Whether spiritually, mentally, or emotionally, her mom consistently models what it means to stay focused and never give up. Watching her mom pursue excellence has taught Karter to approach life with the same mindset. She is also deeply inspired by her coaches, especially Coach Matt. He challenges her, provide corrections and direction embrace with Motivation.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of my proudest moments as Karter’s mom was watching her win the NCA National Championship during her very first season with the ASR Bomberz All-Star Revolution Prep Team. For years, she had experienced more losses than victories. She started cheering when she was four years old, and there were many moments when disappointment could have caused her to quit. But she never gave up. As Fantasia says, “Sometimes you’ve got to lose to win.” Years of hard work and perseverance is paying off.
