What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Kashton loves that baseball gives him an opportunity to be apart of a team and make new friends. He also loves baseball because he loves to compete and win and has the dream of making it to the MLB one day! He loves hearing all of the fans cheer him and his teammates on every single game because it motivates him to give it his all! The kid just LOVES everything baseball has to offer.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Kashton is inspired by his 13 year old uncle who also plays baseball. He is inspired by his uncles extremely hard work ethic, dedication, passion + love for the game! He enjoys going to all of his games and taking bits and pieces from his uncles game and applying it to his own. He loves to pick his uncles brain and soak up as much knowledge as he possibly can so the game comes easier to him.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Kashton was pitching in a Little League game this season and accidentally threw a wild pitch that hit the batter. He immediately dropped his glove on the mound and ran to check on the batter and make sure he was ok. He walked the batter all the way down to first base then gave the kid a hug and checked on him one more time before he headed back to the mound. That right there showed me that it’s more than just a game to him. His sportsmanship in that moment made this Dad so dang proud!!!
