Katie loves pushing herself to get better, being part of a team that works toward the same goal, and the feeling of making a big play for her teammates. Most of all, she loves how field hockey and lacrosse challenges her to work hard, stay positive, and never give up.
Each coach Katie has had inspired her in different ways. They constantly support her while teaching her the importance of hard work, commitment, and being a good teammate. On the field, Katie is inspired by teammates and coaches who push her to be better every day. Katie admires people who lead by example, stay positive, and always put the team first.
One of my proudest moments was when Katie was 11 years old and made it to the U14 Nexus Championship. Being the only one representing her club team, it was an incredible experience for Katie, but what made me most proud was knowing how much work, dedication, and perseverance it took her to get there. It reminded Katie that the time she put into her sport truly pays off and motivated her to keep working toward her goals.
