What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreFootball is more than just a sport to him, it’s where he feels most confident and motivated. He loves the bond he builds with his teammates, meeting new people through the game, and the feeling of competing. Most of all, he loves that there is always another opportunity to learn, challenge himself, and become a better player.
On the field, Deion Sanders inspires him because he made football exciting and changed the game for cornerbacks. As a multi-sport athlete, he proved you can succeed in more than one sport and never let others define what you can or can’t do. Off the field, his dad inspires him because no matter how busy he is, he still trains him in the gym and coaches his team. His dad’s dedication and belief in him motivate Kayden to keep working toward his goals.
The moment that makes me proudest was realizing football had become more than just another sport for Kayden, it became his passion. He has excelled in several sports, but watching him choose football and fully dedicate himself to becoming better has been special. I’m especially proud of the resilience he’s developed. Even through tough games, he has learned to never give up on himself or his teammates.
