He enjoys the challenge of improving every day, whether it's pitching, hitting, or making the big play when his team needs him most. He embraces hard work, celebrates his teammates' successes as much as his own, and plays because he genuinely loves the game. For him, baseball is about friendships, commitment, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Kayden is inspired by the coaches and family members who have always believed in him and encouraged him to work hard, stay humble, and never give up. They have taught him that success isn't measured by trophies but by effort, character, and how you treat others. He also looks up to older athletes who lead by example, showing that dedication, resilience, and teamwork are what truly make someone successful.
One of my proudest moments was watching Kayden step onto the mound to close out the provincial semifinal. He stayed calm under pressure, trusted his training, and finished the game, sending his team to the finals. While that was an incredible achievement, what made me most proud was seeing his teammates rally around each other. Win or lose, Kayden always leads with heart, supports those around him, and gives everything he has for his team.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
