What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreHe loves being active and playing sports with his friends. He enjoys the competition, running fast, defending, and taking shots. Whether it’s soccer, another sport, or just a game at lunch, he loves challenging himself, being part of a team, and having fun. If there’s a game happening, he wants to be part of it.
My mom inspires me because she always pushes me to do my best and reminds me that I’m capable of more. She plays soccer with me, works out with me, and even makes me go on runs and hikes when I don’t want to. She supports me at my games, encourages me to keep going, and always wants me to be the best version of myself.
I’m proudest of how hard he works, how he manages Type 1 diabetes while playing, and the sportsmanship he shows toward his teammates and others.
