Learn MoreKelden loves the competition and being on the field. He enjoys running around, making plays, and being part of a team. He also really enjoys learning the game and seeing himself improve. Football gives him something to work toward, and he gets excited when he can see his hard work paying off.
His big cousin Deshawn is a huge inspiration to him. Deshawn is getting ready to go off to college to play basketball, and Kelden has watched how hard he has worked to get there. He sees the time, discipline, and dedication Deshawn has put into his sport, and it has shown Kelden that talent is only part of the equation. You have to put in the work, stay committed, and keep pushing yourself. Kelden looks up to Deshawn and hopes to follow a similar path in football one day.
My proudest moment was watching Kelden mature after his first season of 8U tackle football. That season showed me that he was truly committed to the sport and serious about getting better. He started to understand that football takes hard work, discipline, and dedication. Seeing him take ownership of his development and want to keep improving made me incredibly proud as his mom.
