Learn MoreShe loves the strong sense of teamwork and belonging. Her teammates are friendly, inclusive, and incredibly talented, and her coach is dedicated, fair, and very knowledgeable. Being surrounded by such supportive people makes playing her sport both fun and rewarding.
My older siblings inspire me the most. They both play rep sports (volleyball and soccer) and I’m always with them playing and practicing in our backyard, day and night. Seeing how hard they work motivates me to keep practicing and improving. Most of all, I want to make them proud of me, just like they inspire me to be proud of myself.
The moment that makes us proudest is when she made a rep soccer team in a division higher than her age group, playing alongside girls who are two years older than her. It was a huge accomplishment and showed how hard she has worked to develop her skills. She is also often voted captain by her teammates because of her positive attitude, friendly personality, and strong athletic ability. Seeing her earn the respect of her teammates while competing at a higher level makes us incredibly proud.
