Learn MoreNot even the sport itself but the community it has brought her. Through sports she has found the most amazing people and learned the most amazing lessons. She has learned the importance of having a team around you, to love one another, to lead with confidence, and most importantly to never give up.
She is inspired most by Bethany Hamilton , someone who has always reminded her that life is meant to be lived fully and intentionally. What stands out to her most is the way Hamilton never takes the little moments for granted. Whether it is a big accomplishment, a simple day with family and friends, or an unexpected opportunity, she has taught her to appreciate where she is and make the most of every moment.
We are most proud of her receiving the Sportsmanship Award twice. To us, this means more than being recognized as the most athletic player because she doesn’t have to be the best on the field to make an impact. What matters most is being the best teammate, leader, and person she can be. She encourages others, celebrates her teammates, and leads by example. Athletic ability may win games, but character is what people remember.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
