What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Kendrick’s favorite part of sports is being surrounded by positive teammates, coaches, family, and friends. He loves connecting with his teammates, learning new skills, and improving each time he plays. He values his coaches’ mentorship and encouragement, which helps him grow as an athlete and person. Most of all, Kendrick loves seeing his family and friends cheering him on. He creates lasting memories on the field and brings joy, energy, and fun to everyone around him.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Kendrick is inspired by his teammates, coaches, and favorite athletes, but his greatest inspiration is his dad. He admires Shohei Ohtani, Tom Brady, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Kobe Bryant for their talent, dedication, leadership, and impact beyond sports. Kendrick loves seeing how they inspire others and give back to their communities. Above all, he hopes to follow his dad’s example by working hard, leading with kindness, and making a positive difference.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Kendrick had a strong baseball season until he was hit by a baseball, which lowered his confidence and made him fearful. He worked hard to overcome his fear and rebuild his confidence. By the end of the season, he was pitching strongly and striking out players. He also hit several home runs during practice. His coaches and teammates noticed his growth and cheered him on. Through this experience, Kendrick became more confident and developed an even greater love and understanding of baseball.
