What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreKevin loves everything about soccer—the training, competition, teamwork, and constant challenge to get better. This summer, he practiced every day on his own, watched the game closely, and built a routine around improving. Soccer is where he feels most focused and happiest, and his dream is to play professionally one day.
Kevin is inspired by players who combine talent with discipline, humility, and consistency. He pays attention to how they train, how they treat teammates, and how they keep improving. Those are the same qualities he is trying to build in himself as he works toward his own goals.
What makes me proudest is watching Kevin take ownership of his goals. This summer, he created his own routine, practiced every day, improved his eating and sleep habits, and started researching future leagues, high schools, and even college programs. At 13, he is already thinking ahead and putting in the work without being pushed.
