What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What I love most about soccer is that it is where I feel free. When I step onto the field, everything else disappears. The roar of passionate fans, the thrill of a skill or trick, and the pressure of a game-winning moment make my blood boil with excitement. Soccer lets me laugh, cry, compete, and clear my mind. It brings people from around the world together. Soccer is more than a sport to me; it is my peace of mind.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Lionel Messi inspires me because he represents a level of football I can only dream of reaching. When he plays, the ball seems glued to his feet. He makes impossible passes, dribbles, and shots look effortless. You never know what he is thinking or what he will do next. To me, Messi represents the purest form of football: creativity, unpredictability, and freedom.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

I think the moment that makes me proudest is seeing him learn how to take a loss and be coachable. I’ve always told him that in life, you’re going to lose something—whether it’s time, money, energy, or comfort—in order to gain something you want. Soccer has taught him that lesson. He’s learned to listen, take criticism, and fix things even when he doesn’t want to. That growth makes me proud.
