What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreKhalil is very competitive and works on perfecting his craft daily. He enjoys sports with his friends and family. Basketball allows him to be social and travel all around the country meeting new people and learning more and more about life.
Khalil is inspired by his dad and family. His dad was supposed to play football in college but had to pivot to the military because his mom got sick. He wants to continue on where his dad left off and play college sports. His family always supports him and he looks up to many players in the NBA. Tracy Mcgrady and Stephen Curry are his favorite players.
He has been playing since he was 3 years old and is now about to graduate high school. He had a freak accident in 8th grade and broke his arm. Everyone was so concerned because we all know how much he is obsessed with ball. He got down for the first few weeks but then picked himself up and started training with his left hand and strengthened it to where he can dribble and shoot efficiently with his left hand. His resilience makes us proud and now we call it his secret weapon!!!!
