What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Kiera loves the competitiveness of the sport, that adrenaline feeling in high pressure situations/games.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

The person who inspires me on and off the court is definitely my mom because I’ve watched her as a single mom work two jobs and sacrifice everything just so I can play the sport that I love so deeply.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moment that I am most proud of in Kiera’s journey is when she won the high school state girls basketball championship as an 8th grader. It wasn’t about the championship ring but about the patience she showed in her journey that got her to that. In 7th grade she played with her age level and worked to be better. By 8th grade she not only helped her JV team go undefeated but earned herself a roster spot on the varsity team for the state tournament. She has had to trust the process and be ready
