When he was about 8 he was struggling real bad as a catcher and his coach was getting very frustrated. He was taking all the balls to the body to stop everything, but couldn’t seem to hold on to a pitch. Come to find out his thumb strap was broken so we could barely squeeze his glove. All the silent tears and thoughts of failure he had of himself but never said anything. Then when I found the issue, it was like his whole image of himself changed and he knew he was capable.
