What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What my son loves most about playing sports is the opportunity to challenge himself, grow, and be part of something bigger than himself. I’ve watched him find joy in competing, building relationships with his teammates, and pushing himself to become better every day. Sports have taught him discipline, confidence, and perseverance. As his mom, I love seeing how football and basketball continue to shape his character, leadership, and the young man he is becoming.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My son is most inspired by God, myself, and his late Pop Pop. His faith gives him strength, guidance, and purpose in everything he does. As his mom, I strive to encourage him, support his dreams, and remind him of the importance of hard work, humility, and character. His Pop Pop’s legacy of love, strength, and perseverance continues to motivate him every day. Together, we inspire him to be the best athlete and person he can be.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One moment in my son’s athletic journey that makes me the proudest is watching him continue to push forward despite challenges and never lose sight of his goals. Seeing his dedication in the gym, at practice, and during games reminds me that his success comes from his work ethic and determination. I’m most proud of the character he shows: his humility, discipline, and willingness to lead and encourage those around him. Watching him grow into the young man he is today is my greatest reward.
