Kingston

What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Kingston has expressed that the most special thing about playing team sports, and what he enjoys most is the relationships he develops with his teammates. He believes It makes winning so much sweeter and in some instances those relationships has been his motivation to play harder.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

One of Kingston’s biggest inspiration stems from his love of academia, Albert Einstein. He identifies with his ability to withstand criticism while changing and challenging the norms & although not well known Albert used his genius to fight for civil rights. Muhammad Ali also is a huge influence and Kingstons reason for boxing. He loves his flair, & often speaks about the heart, and courage Muhammed showed in standing up for his beliefs in every forum even though there was great opposition.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

I’m most proud of Kingstons ability to grow and thrive from his losses. I see him work very hard to use those moments to grow stronger mentally and physically on and off the court. Initially when starting basketball he was very disappointed in his ability to handle the ball well in games. With very little motivation from me he stayed diligent, committing to practice researching and learning new and different skills, and now has become one of the best on his teams.
