What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Kingston views the discipline it takes to perform well as giving God glory. Every practice rep, every study session, every interaction with teammates and opponents he views as a chance to exhibit excellence for the Glory of God.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Kingston is inspired by Jesus Christ mainly. He is a youth leader at his church's youth services, and his faith has brought him through various struggles that could have easily influenced him into depression or bad decisions. In fact faith rescued him in various situations throughout his life.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The vast and numerous accolades of last year were the culmination of a lot of faith and practice through heartbreaking personal circumstances. Starting in 2020 with the divorce of his parents and the very contentious custody battle that resulted in personal struggles and some family members treating him in ways a child should never be subject to by loved ones. He leaned in on Christ, and a lot of his prayers were answered, and his faith and discipline was validated in overtly visible ways.
