What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Kira loves the feeling of being on stage. Dance is her happy place—a place where she can express herself, be creative, challenge herself, and completely be herself. She loves the friendships she has made, the excitement of performing, and the feeling of accomplishing something she has worked so hard for. Most of all, she loves that dance allows her to tell a story without saying a word. When Kira dances, you can see how much it truly means to her.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

One of Kira’s biggest inspirations is her big sister, Emma, who has also danced competitively and proudly represented Canada. Emma has earned many awards and recognitions throughout her dance journey, and Kira has always looked up to her. Watching Emma work hard, overcome challenges and succeed has inspired Kira to follow in her footsteps while creating her own path.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Watching Kira represent Canada on the world stage was incredibly emotional, but helping Canada earn medals made it even more special. Her first World Cup medal was bronze. Hearing Kira say she was “third in the world” was priceless. Seeing her accept her medal with her team, knowing all the hard work and dedication that brought her there, is a moment I will treasure forever. ❤️🇨🇦🥉
