What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Kloe loves the competition, and challenge that comes with sports. As a goalie, she loves the pressure of being the last line of defence and having the opportunity to make a difference for her team. She enjoys pushing herself, competing at a high level, and being surrounded by teammates who share the same passion. Most of all, she loves the friendships, the laughs, and being part of a team working toward something together.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Her older sister has always been someone Kloe looked up to. Watching her sister play the same position gave Kloe someone close to home to learn from and admire.Her oldest brother, plays at Washington State, and she loves the experience he is having as a student-athlete. It has shown her what is possible when you work hard and commit yourself to your goals.Her goalie coach has also played an important role in her development by holding her accountable, and believing in her abilities.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

I know you asked for one moment, but there is something else that makes me incredibly proud. Almost every coach who has had the opportunity to coach her has gone out of their way to tell me what a fantastic young lady she is. She is always smiling, encouraging her teammates, helping others, and pushing those around her to become the best version of themselves. As a parent, hearing those words means just as much—if not more—than any medal, award, or accomplishment she could ever receive.
