Learn MoreKowen LOVES team work, supporting his team is top priority. Being named Captain, I’ve never seen him be more pumped about anything! Kowen vibes in the energy of sports, and if someone’s down, Kowen is the guy who will raise that guy up. He doesn’t need to win, he needs his team to. That is what makes Kowen THE best athlete.
Kowen is inspired by his family, namely his little sister Raelee, born with a rare condition. Kowen is inspired by sports as they have helped him realize that he can do anything that he wants to do, despite people saying otherwise. Kowen has proven to all who know him that if you fight hard enough, you CAN do anything you decide to do. Watching Football with Drew growing up helped teach him the game, “SEAHAWKS!” They would yell out the window into neighbourhood.
Kowen, if he drops a kid on the field, either in Rugby or Football, he will turn around and extend his hand, even if they don’t accept it. He is 6’3 240 so he knows he could have hurt them, and his heart is gold. One year, his FB Team lost Provincials, landing them second place. He was devastated, but less about the loss. He walked away saying, “Ma, I am going to miss my FB family. Seasons done… I don’t want to quit yet.” His team is everything to him, and we are so proud of his commitment.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
