Kye

What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What Kye loves most about the sport of rodeo is he gets to incorporate his daily ranch work and care of livestock into his sport. He gets to travel the world and make new friends all while spending time living his dream with his best friend, his horse Juanita. Kye loves his western heritage and enjoys getting to experience that with rodeo.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Trevor Brazile inspires Kye because he is an amazing horseman and many time World Champion in the sport of rodeo and most importantly a Christian. Kye inspires to be like Trevor someday because he is not only an athlete in the arena but also a cowboy outside of the arena on his family ranch. Kye's relationship with God is extremely important and he said if it isn't all the rodeo stars that inspire him, he would say the number one person that inspires him is Jesus Christ.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Every time Kye steps into the arena he makes me proud, but if I had to pick one particular moment it would be when he competed in his first JR rodeo season with the older aged kids, he was really nervous and worked extremely hard to be competitive against that level of kids and at the end of the season he ended up placing in every event within the top 6 places for the season and won a saddle. He in turn has started helping the younger kids in improving their skills and I couldn't be prouder.
