What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreWhatever sport Kyer invests in, he HAS to be the best. But most kids with that same determination seem to lose the ability to also have the heart for sportsmanship or ensuring those around them are also alright. Kyer loves to win, but what sets him apart from the rest is doing it in a way that isn’t humiliating or disrespectful. He says that he “just loves to play,” whether it is a game he and his buddies made up on the spot, or an organized team, he just loves to display the talent God gave him
He goes to a Christian school and has many “heroes” but above all, his main inspiration is his cousin Clayton Mosher. Clayton started all 4 years at Indiana Wesleyan university as a SAM Linebacker and set many school records. He also was honored at the 2024 Sugar Bowl receiving the All-State “Good Works” award on national TV. We would drive 5hrs for most of his home games and after each, he would throw a football with Kyer and invest his time into being his buddy.
Kyer has already achieved so many amazing feats for his age. He has caught the final out to win a tournament championships, drove in and scored game-winning runs, won league or tournament championships, but the proudest moment for me was having a zero strikeout season and hitting for the cycle a year ago.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
