What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreWhat I believe Kyli loves most about track is the way running makes her feel. She has told me that when she is running, she feels free. It gives her a sense of peace and allows her to focus on herself and what she is capable of. I have watched how happy and confident she becomes when she is on the track. I think she loves the feeling of pushing herself, reaching her goals, and seeing herself improve. Track gives her a place where she can challenge herself, be herself, and feel free.
She doesn’t have someone in particular, she enjoys the sport itself. She’s a fan of how powerful those athletes are and the partnerships they create off the field. She’s about helping others, that’s why she wants to be a doctor.
She never gave up. By her pulling her hamstring, it certainly crush her sprit but for her to go out her way to go to the gym, to help encourage others, to do it all while pushing through school which was tough, it showed me how much resilience and responsibility she has.
