What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Softball has been part of Kynlee’s life since she was three days old. She once described the fresh-cut grass, the energy of the players and fans, and falling in love with the game because it felt “magical.” That hasn’t changed. She loves competing against athletes who challenge her to become better. Whether on a softball field or volleyball court, she loves setting a goal, working when no one is watching, and discovering just how far that work can take her.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Kynlee has said her greatest inspiration is her mom. In her words, she has watched me “struggle and stay positive” and “cry and not lose hope.” She says those experiences taught her to be secure, self-sufficient, loving, selfless and compassionate. As her mom, that’s difficult for me to write about myself—but they’re her words, not mine. Knowing that the challenges we’ve faced became lessons she carried onto the field and into life is something I treasure.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

In 2024, Kynlee stood before our community asking for help reaching the All-American Games and promised to represent everyone who believed in her. She kept that promise—helping her team win the championship and earning MVP. Since then, she has continued living those words, competing internationally for her country and representing her community overseas. Watching the 14-year-old now 16 yr old who said, “I represent more than just myself,” continue to prove it is what makes me proudest.
