What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

When I saw this question I thought I knew my answer immediately, but as I got to thinking I realized it was impossible to pick just one. When I joined color guard I didn't know it would become more than just dancing with a flag. I found perseverance, confidence, bravery, adventure, excitement, strength, joy, and not just friends, but a family. So what do I love most? All of it.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

The person who inspires me most is myself, specifically the girl I started as. She never thought she could succeed. I've struggled with my health for years, affecting my mental health, self-esteem, capabilities, and relationships. Every day, I face pain and emotions, but I persevere for her. I want to achieve those big dreams and prove to her that she can do it. She inspires me to be the person I am and the person I will become.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Witnessing her finding her passion for the sport. Her journey has been defined not only by tremendous growth, but also by the courage to persevere when faced with adversity and unrelenting health challenges. Through every challenge, she has chosen determination, grace, and resilience. Her compassion, positive spirit, and ability to lift up those around her has made her an extraordinary leader and role model to her teammates, whose impact will be felt long after her final performance.
