Learn MoreWhat Laeleigh loves most about playing her sports is the feeling of being part of a team and working toward something together. She loves the competition, the excitement, and pushing herself to become better. Whether she’s pitching in a big fastpitch game or running the court as a point guard, she loves being trusted in important moments. Most of all, she loves her teammates, the friendships she’s made, and the feeling of accomplishing something together.
Laeleigh’s biggest inspiration has always been her dad, who has taught her and supported her in sports since she was little. She also looks up to Julio Rodríguez and loves watching elite college fastpitch players compete at such a high level. Watching those athletes motivates her to keep working, improving, and chasing her biggest dream: playing Division I college softball someday.
Laeleigh is most proud of winning the Cascade National Championship with her team, especially after pitching three complete games, including the championship. She is also incredibly proud of being selected as an All-State player. Looking ahead, she is excited and proud to have earned the opportunity, she’s been told, to be a starting varsity basketball player as a freshman. These accomplishments show how hard she works and how much she loves competing.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
