Learn MoreI love playing goalkeeper because I like the challenge of stopping the other team from scoring. My hard work showed when I ranked #1 in New Mexico and #8 in the nation in 1v1 goalkeeper. Losing makes me want to practice even harder, especially after my team didn't win a game last season. I also like playing left wing because I get to attack. Most of all, I would miss being with my team if I couldn't play soccer.
Emiliano Martínez inspires me because he is an amazing goalkeeper and has accomplished one of the biggest goals in soccer—winning the World Cup. I watch how he plays and try to learn from the way he plays goalkeeper. He inspires me to work harder, become a better goalkeeper, and never give up on my goals.
My proudest moment was winning the 1v1 Goalkeeper Challenge and becoming #1 in New Mexico and #8 in the nation. I was really excited because it showed me that all the practices, losses, and hard work were paying off. I haven't always been a goalkeeper, so becoming the best in my state means a lot to me. It showed me that hard work really does pay off.
