Receive Text UpdatesLandon loves being part of a team. He started the season shy and nervous, but football gave him a place to make friends, have fun, and be himself. He loves getting to the field early, putting on his uniform, and playing linebacker with his teammates. Football has become his happy place.
Landon is inspired by his older brothers, who played football before him. Watching them made him want to get on the field and try it for himself. Now he looks up to his coaches and teammates too. Their patience, encouragement, and friendship have helped him become more confident despite his speech and vision challenges.
I’m proudest of the change I saw after his first two practices. Landon cried and wasn’t sure football was for him. By day three, he was excited, making friends, and asking to get to the field early. As a parent , watching my shy 6-year-old find confidence, friendship, and a place where he feels accepted has meant more to me than any win or trophy.
