Landon is inspired by his coaches, his friends, his mom, dad, and brothers, and his extended family. Everyone offers support to him through conversation, sharing their own life experiences, showing up at the track, or driving him to practices. He is also inspired by his wins and losses, growing as an athlete through each and every one.
When Landon was 4 years old, we took him to a local track near our home. Thinking he would only play around, we got to talking to some parents. A few minutes later, a high school boy yelled out “Hey! That little kid has run four laps already!” Landon was a spectacle. He ran 7 laps that day and received a lot of high fives from the big kids. He fought through cramps and kept on going. We knew he had something special. A natural long distance runner from the start!
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
