What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

She loves that gymnastics asks more of her than just athletic ability—it requires courage, discipline, resilience, and heart. She has learned that success isn’t simply landing the skill; it’s having the courage to try again after falling. She loves the quiet victories earned through hours of hard work and the teammates who stand beside her through them. Gymnastics is where she discovers what she is capable of and learns that some of the greatest growth happens between the fall and getting back

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My coaches and teammates inspire me because they always push me to keep going, even when something is hard or scary. I love watching my teammates learn new skills because it makes me want to work harder too. My coaches have taught me that falling is part of learning and that I should always get back up and try again. They remind me that being a good teammate, working hard, and believing in myself are just as important as winning.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of my proudest moments wasn’t a medal or a score. It was watching Landyn face a skill that scared her and choose to try anyway. I’ve watched her fall, get frustrated, wipe away tears, and climb right back up. Seeing her realize that she is stronger and braver than she thought she was has made me incredibly proud. The gymnast she is becoming is amazing, but I’m even prouder of the person she is becoming along the way.
