Lane has always loved basketball but his junior realized it wasn’t a sport he was great at. So he quit basketball a week into the season and joined wrestling, which he hadn’t done since junior high. He put in the work, stayed after practice to continue to work and he made it to state! The smile on his face when he pinned his opponent to make it to state was the most genuine smile I have ever seen.
