Learn MoreHe loves competing, learning new skills, and challenging himself to get better. He also really enjoys the bond he has with his coach, who has been mentoring and supporting him since he started playing flag football at age 5.
Nyzir is inspired by his mom, who has always supported and encouraged him both on and off the field. She reminds him to work hard, believe in himself, and never give up.
The moment that makes me the proudest was during his championship game. Although Nyzir’s team didn’t win, he didn’t let the loss bring him down. Instead, he stayed positive, encouraged his teammates, and reminded them to keep their heads up. Seeing him understand that being a good athlete isn’t only about winning, but also about how you handle disappointment, support your team, and keep pushing forward, made me extremely proud. That moment showed me the leader and teammate he is becoming.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
