What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What I love most is how playing sports pushes me out of my comfort zone, teaches me how to fail with grace and bounce back, and forces me to perform under pressure. Also, working with teammates towards a common goal and developing trust in each other, as well as celebrating the wins together, creates special bonds that are rare. The lessons I've learned on the field carry over into every other part of my life as well.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

I look up to Cristiano Ronaldo for his leadership and mindset. He demonstrates an exceptional work ethic and a relentless drive for self-improvement. I also admire my coaches Cem Sencan and Rick Rosemin who have passion and dedication for soccer and are carrying forward their love for soccer through their expertise and skills. Lastly, my parents for being committed to travel wherever I needed to go and ensuring I was always available and ready to participate in practices and games.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

My love for the game of soccer motivates me to play whenever possible so I join the high school soccer team yearly - the Sacred Heart Catholic School Sentinels. This past school year, our soccer field was banned because not safe and had caused injuries. Also, our team was assembled quickly leaving no time for practice and developing chemistry. Despite the challenges we faced, we were the successful champions in our division and moved on to the OFSAA championships as semi-finalists.
