What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Lauryn loved leading in basketball, flag football, track, and all her endeavors is inspiring others while pushing herself to grow. She loves competing, practicing,encouraging teammates, accepting challenges, and leading by example. Whether she is on the court, field, track, in the classroom, or serving her community, Lauryn takes pride in giving her best, staying disciplined, and showing others that hard work, confidence, and commitment can turn goals into accomplishments. True leader.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Her faith, family, teammates, and the opportunity to make a difference. She is motivated by people who believe in her, coaches who challenge her, and the desire to prove to herself that she can overcome obstacles and reach her goals. She wants her hard work to inspire younger athletes and show that with faith, discipline, and determination, anything is possible.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of my proudest moments as her parent is watching Lauryn grow into a confident, hardworking young woman who leads with purpose. Seeing her compete, overcome challenges - injuires - losses, encourage others, excel in the classroom, and chase her dreams reminds me that all the sacrifices are worth it. I’m most proud not just of what she accomplishes, but of the person she is becoming.
