What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

From football to baseball to wrestling the feeling you get by working as a team and getting to reap the rewards of your hard work makes you feel successful. Setting goals and attaining those goals is what gives you the motivation to get up daily and work for your goals. Lawson has big dreams and aspirations to be a champion not only in sports but also in life, and he works toward that daily.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Michael Oher… Lawson loves the rags to riches story of someone who worked hard and still remembers where they come from. Someone who appreciates those that help you reach your goals. Those are reminders in life on and off the field that you have to work hard to be successful. Lawson has many sports idols from Muhammad Ali to Spencer Lee and Gable Steveson in wrestling; Jackie Robinson in baseball ; and Barry Bonds and Michael Oher in football along with many others.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Lawson had the opportunity to play with the Rusty Mansell Georgia elite classic 7th grade team and he was selected team captain. I was so proud to see him apply himself and be recognized by someone else who sees his hard work and selected him to represent the team as a leader on the field ! he makes us proud always with his big heart.
