Layla is inspired by all the kids who fight cancer and work so hard to regain the strength to even walk again, let alone to play sports or dance. She pushes herself harder to compete for those who can't go back to playing sports because cancer took it away from them.
Seeing Layla take the stage for the first time after her diagnosis. She was still in active treatment, very thin, and had lost all her hair. Her body didn't quite work the same way it used to. But she was determined to dance, even if she couldn't do it all full out. She even did competitions that season. Her goal was to fall right back into her group, and she did it.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
